Independent New York and TEFAF | New York

Independent New York

Independent New York takes over Randall's Island Park marking its 15th anniversary, with its first edition held at the former Dia building in Chelsea in 2010 during Armory Week. The 2024 iteration will showcase the works of over 60 galleries representing the cutting edge of contemporary art. Expect a vibrant mix of established and emerging artists, with a focus on solo presentations and fresh perspectives.

TEFAF New York:

Running concurrently, at the Park Avenue Armory, TEFAF New York presents a curated selection of works from close to 90 the world's most esteemed galleries from 15 countries. This renowned fair features a focus on museum-quality art, spanning modern and contemporary masterpieces, antiques, and design objects.

Design Miami makes its Los Angeles debut for the city’s first edition of the fair. The fair will take place within a private historic Holmby Hills estate originally designed by legendary architect Paul Williams in the 1930’s.

Art Basel | Switzerland

The art world’s top fair, the Swiss edition of Art Basel, is featuring a city-wide program for its upcoming 2024 edition. Hosting 287 galleries from 40 countries. Twenty-two of those galleries will be exhibiting at the fair for the first time. This year also marks the first time Art Basel will be fully under the direction of Maike Cruse.

VOLTA | Basel

VOLTA Basel is a sister fair to Art Basel, focusing on emerging artists and galleries. The fairs 19th edition returns to the Klybeck 610 featuring over 45 galleries from 24 countries, and is the inaugural edition under Artistic Director Lee Cavaliere.

July 2024

Tokyo Gendai | Yokohama

Though much of the crowd that regularly attends art events takes the summer off after Art Basel ends, Art Assembly’s Japan fair takes place again in early July, Tokyo Gendai. Taking place at a convention center in nearby Yokohama, the fair, headed up by Eri Takane, will gather between 80 and 90 exhibitors. The fair’s second edition will be a major test for the Japanese art market’s continued longevity, especially as it compares to that of Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, and Hong Kong, the latter of which has long held eminence in Asia.
