      About The Work

Tricia Caracappa’s paintings strike a balance between abstraction and nature-inspired forms, blending fluid movement with expressive mark-making. Layers of acrylic and oil pastel create rich textures, where gestural brushwork and bold contrasts evoke energy and spontaneity. Soft transitions of color meet defined strokes, drawing the viewer into a visual rhythm that feels both meditative and dynamic.

Caracappa’s palette—ranging from soft pastels to earthy tones with bursts of saturation—enhances the emotional depth of her compositions. Works like Purple Rain and Run Wild reflect a synthesis of intuition and controlled chaos, while Kissed by the Rain exudes an ethereal, dreamlike quality. Through abstraction, she transforms movement, memory, and sensation into a deeply immersive visual experience.
